Berkdrums What a day... december 1st 2018.. Thanks to my good friend Richard Gürtler I drove off to my first B-WAVE electronic music-festival in Belgium.. Finally meeting Richard in the flesh was worth the trip in itself, and of course the live performances by Erik Wøllo (!) and Michael Stearns (!).. First act of the day was Aerodyn. Didn’t know anything about them.. Right there and then I became a fan, fascinated, thrilled,and blown away by their performance, unique sound, aural-, and visual bliss (a stunning video-show on large screen) and the incredible chemistry between Alain, Jan and Philippe.. This is a perfect match!, a collaboration that creates magic... Although I’m really passionate about my love for dreamy, hazy, floating ambientmusic, this is something completely different, but I love it! Please take a moment to check out this magical, phenomenal album! Filled with all sorts of soundeffects, some really dark and gloomy, almost cinematic aural stories, incredible throatsinging by Alain, but also some really lovely floating spaces, minor electronic percussion, loops, but above all it’s an aural adventure that I really feel is rather unique in it’s style and sounds! At the B-WAVE festival some new tracks from their follow-up were played. Those pieces sounded so impressive and again blew me away, so I’ll keep my ears and eyes open for more from this incredible trio... Bravo Alain, Jan and Philippe!!
